G - Reporting

Got up showered and packed away the bed then ordered a bacon sandwich from the café which arrived with uncooked bacon! Returned it got it back the 2nd time with bacon that might have looked at a grill once maybe, so cooked it on our stove as I just wanted breakfast.
We settled our bill at the oasis (damn the bar tab!) and left just after 10 hitting the local gas station and supermarket, strangely the main road outside had a policeman on each side every 20ft or so, no idea why and they didn’t hassle us, apart from the fact they wouldn’t let us fill the jerry cans because of the risk of explosions!, so following Hans and Thea who we had agreed to travel with for a day or 2 we left the city

We took the southern route out of the city past the airport within about 30k the black-top ended and the road became dirt, following the GPS route we managed ok and only got lost once or twice along the way seeing camels, huge herds of goats, horses and large birds of prey, we finally camped around 4:30 in the shade of a large rock out crop and enjoyed a glass of wine with dinner with  an amazing view across a valley. Mongolia was looking good.
The 1st Watering hole we came across.

Camels!!!!!

Ger with all mod cons

Its big out here.

View from the rocks above our campsite

Toasting our 1st night on the road after UB with a nice Bordeaux :-)

Camped for the night.
