Happy Birthday Michael!!!

Woke late after a restless night plagued with a mildly upset stomach hopefully not an omen of things to come and made our way the 40km into Ulaangom the Provincial capital in search of internet, showers and hotels and maybe all 3 in one place!
Found a hotel and asked the price which was about $60 not great considering the look of hotel so continued to look around finding an internet café so we dived in and caught up on email, while sitting there a woman walked in came up to us and said “I just had to say hello as you’re the 1st English people I have seen in 2 weeks” the woman turned out to be Emily who was cycling from NZ to London!
Emily pointed us at the hotel she has stayed in the night before and we took a room with private bathroom and TV! For about $30 much more like it then we all went and grabbed some lunch Mongolia style at a local café it seemed to be very much Mutton based but cheap and fairly tasty.
After we headed back to the hotel to catch up on some clothes washing as we had a sink and water, while Emily went back to the internet café to sort out details of her onwards passage to Russia.
An hour or so later Emily retuned and packed up her bike and headed on toward the boarder as she only had 4 more days to get out of Mongolia so after saying goodbye we did a quick tour of the town before going back to the hotel to finish blogging ready to be uploaded tomorrow, about 6 we went out for dinner picking the Chinggis Restaurant as it had the best food picture outside, most of which turned out to be not available inside!
So after looking over what was on offer I ordered a steak and B ordered Beef Kebab both of which was unavailable, so we both settled for Beef steak with egg not really knowing what we had ordered!
When it arrived it was pretty good it was a like a hamburger patty with a fried egg and gravy and a side of rice in the shape of a star with coleslaw and shredded beetroot salad pretty tasty and at $8 for 2 with beer you really can’t complain, so now full of top Mongolian restaurant food we retired to the hotel to finish our blog, plan our final week in Mongolia and sleep.
