The Journey so far.....

B - reporting

We left early and pushed on towards St John's. Who knew Newfoundland was so big? The crinkly bits round the edge might be very pretty, but the bits in the middle are not very exciting. It was a long drive, not even enlivened by a moose sighting. Lots of young pine forests, long straight roads and the occasional crow laughing at us from the sidelines.

After checking in to the campsite in St John's we headed out to explore the town. It was about 3 kms away, but an interesting, though hilly, walk.

We quickly located the street full of pubs, and had some beer while listening to live music. The singer was excellent. After fish n chips, we decided to have a look  round. Turn a corner, and more diddly music! Also, unfortunately, turn another corner and more groups of lads on Stag nights, so we did not linger.

All you need for crossing Newfoundland.
