B - reporting

More museuming today. After 2 pots of coffee in the hotel (free!) we programmed Vera to take us to the Science Museum. The Crazy Kitchen display was fantastic, and we learned that it takes only seconds for our senses to utterly confuse us.*

A thunderstorm raged while we were inside and we emerged, gasping, into the post-storm humidity and leaped, gazelle-like**, over puddles. Then headed via Tim's to the Air and Space Museum, and spent a happy few hours looking at planes, engines and a small but interesting exhibition of living in space. I watched with great enjoyment a video of astronauts sleeping as the sun rose and set with bewildering rapidity in the window behind them. And I challenge anyone not to be curious about space toilets.

Then a short drive through the posh streets of Ottawa back to the hotel for beer and blogging. #@%^ing internet still not working so was unable to Skype or email, or even noodle around on Sci Fi sites.***

* I hope it's not just us...
** if the gazelle was rather old and, frankly, exceedingly unlikely to escape death by hungry lion
