B - reporting

After another fantastic breakfast in the 19th century veranda and a spot of emailing we headed out for more touristing, wondering round the old town in the hot sunshine until we found the beautiful Chor Minor (4 Minarets)...don't be surprised that we found it, as there were signposts!

More sightseeing and lunchtime plov followed, plus an invitation to go on to the roof of the old madrassa now housing the children's library. Then, just ten minutes after I had been petting a small black kitten in the hot sun, we were whipped about by strong wind, sand blew into our eyes and we were in our first ever sandstorm. We ran for our hotel room, where we weathered the storm - sustained by chocolate and beer - till dinner time when it had blown over.

We headed out for dinner - not plov, for once - having really enjoyed our first chance of just being tourists.
