G – Reporting
Well after a few good days in Kazakhstan there had to be a downside and there was the roads plus I had stinking cold :(
After packing up grabbing some groceries we hit the road around 10am and headed south and as soon we had cleared the city limits, the road started to suck with some really rough and potholed tarmac, there was one consolation in the fact it wasn’t costing us much to drive on it as it was only 70c/L which was nice.
So pressing on though flat plans and low rolling hills and not much else we arrived at the 1st big town after Semey and it couldn’t have more opposite, it was a typical crumbling post soviet dump that really didn’t warrant a stop, so we didn’t pressing on for another 20km or so before find a camping spot by a small stream which was really quite nice, and that other than dinner rounded up our 1st full day on the road in Kazakhstan.
