G - Reporting

So 1st hotel breakfast was OK eggs bacon and peas? Odd combo but tasted fine, after went for our 1st stroll round Vladivostok, seems the whole place is under construction as the APEC conference is here next year so the whole city is getting spruced up.
So after some wandering around headed down towards the dock to see what was happening with the ship and our car, just missed the unloading but bumped into the rest of our fellow travelers and who confirmed our truck was in the customs shed.
Checked out the GUM store next which is a big department store and Russian institution, picked up some toiletries (yay for the international sign language for shampoo!) and sun block as it is due to hit 30 today, then had lunch in a café and went back to the hotel as the insurance people where meeting us there to sort out the truck insurance.
Then booked a new hotel as we are not staying in this dump any longer than we have paid for and then spent the rest of the afternoon catching up on email, also when we returned the laundry we had given the hotel was returned which was nice what wasn’t was the bill 2560 R ($81) so lesson learned do not use the hotel laundry service!
We went back to the same restaurant as the night before with the rest of our temporary traveler friends for food and drink and ended the evening with a stroll round the evening streets of Vladivostok as its at least 10 before it gets dark here.
