G - Reporting

Checked out of the motel fairly early after discovering the hard way that our heated toilet seat had a bidet function!!!!!
Decided to grab a coffee before heading up the coast only to find coffee shop don’t open in the morning in Korea seems its just an evening thing even starbucks!
So Just headed up the coast road which is really beautiful full of small fishing villages, beaches and rocky cliffs, stopped for a late breakfast/early lunch at a small park, then continued up the coast to samcheok to find the tourist information place and some internet, found the tourist place after only briefly getting lost but it was staffed by a very nice Japanese girl who had almost no English not what we where expecting, but she pointed us towards an internet café where we sent some emails surround by teenage boys playing starcraft and PES, when we came out we found our 1st Korean parking ticket on the windscreen and small woman came over demanding payment, turned out it was only 1000won (90c) so we payed up and left..oops
Headed out of town to visit the haesindang park which is dedicated to showcasing phallic sculptures to say it was a strange would have been an understatement, all this huge carved wooden penis set in this beautiful park overlooking the ocean, so wandered around for about an hour before the heat got the better of us and left.
Headed back to town and checked into the international motel our cheapest yet at 35000 won($31.50) nice simple motel with everything you need and nothing you didn’t, went out for dinner at a local bar where we came across our 1st all Korean menu with no pictures but with the few English word the waitress knew we managed to order a couple of beers and fried chicken, little did we know it was a whole fried chicken chopped up and fried! But it was very tasty and very filling and we had to leave some, wandered back though town and through a market which was interesting seeing everyday life in Korea as up to now we hadn’t seen any food for sale apart from 24/7 type stores!
Korean Coast line

Yep its a penis park!

More knobs!
Mystery starter, tasted like chewy wood might have been bugs!
