G - Reporting

So up early and down to the docks, we found Mr Kang who we had been emailing before we left Canada he was all ready for us but for some reason thought we where shipping a bike not a truck and so the price would be $700 not $450 but as it was his mistake he would only charge us $500 so not so bad, so we paid and headed over to the ticket office to get the tickets for us while we waited for Korean customs to inspect the truck for export this was going to be $250 each but turned out to be $225 in the end so we paid no more than we where 1st quoted????

So next customs inspection which consisted off  the inspector getting me to wind down the rear passenger window and him have a quick look in! then for the 2nd time in a month I just left the truck and keys with a stranger!

Then it was back to the terminal building to wait for the ship where we got to know our fellow travelers, well to be honest 99% where Russians and Koreans but in the nut cases with a car or bike class there was Paul from Germany on a BMW GS800 Howell from the USA on a GS1200, Joseph from Austria in a Mazda pickup with a camper in the back and Wolfgang and Irmi from Germany in a 70 series land cruiser camper.

We boarded at 3 then dumped our bags in our sleeping bunk and then did a quick look round and then headed up to the bar where we meet up with Paul for a few beers. The ship left around 4 and the rest of the day was taken up with eating drinking and chatting as there is not that much you can do on a boat and there was no view as it was very misty, we turned in early around 10.
Staff at Donghae Terminal waving us goodbye!!!

Our new friend Paul spoiling a picture of the deck ;-)

Life at sea.
